The weather affect throughout the season has long affected NFL betting lines. During the beginning of the season, the weather isn’t that big of a factor when betting on NFL games, as generally speaking, cold and warm weather teams get about the same temperature. More importantly, as we mentioned above the weather does not play a factor in the early season. Since this is the case, most fans put little stock in how the weather will affect the outcome of the game. Basically, when handicapping the weather, you need to know a couple of things. Firstly, the majority of NFL teams are pass offense oriented. Secondly, as the weather gets colder, the air gets choppier, making it rather difficult for pass oriented teams to throw the football.

With women out of his mind, it appears Tiger Woods can go back to being the safe bet for most golf fans. A day after finalizing his divorce, Woods finished amongst the leaders at the Barclay’s championship. Woods passion for golf has finally returned and golf betting fans are ecstatic as a result.

To say the past year has been difficult for Tiger Woods both personally and professionally would be an understatement. Last year it was speculated Woods had an altercation with ex wife Elin stemming from a supposed affair. Later it was revealed not only did Woods cheat on his now ex wife, but he had done so with several different women. Woods had taken a few months off from professional golf to overcome a plethora of injuries.

Yet when he returned to the golfing greens, many of Woods contemporaries and fans both saw an amateurish Tiger and not the one who had dominated golf’s grandest stage for the last 12 years. From April until August, Woods couldn’t win a tournament to save his life and ultimately his marriage.

Nevertheless, now days after officially signing the divorce papers with Elin, Tiger looks better than anyone could have imagined. During yesterday’s opening round at the Barclay’s tournament, Tiger Woods appeared to be the Tiger we grew to love over the last 12 years. When the day’s action finished, he shared the lead at minus 65. This feat in itself was a huge morale booster for the game’s top star.

The question many critics now ask after such a successful day on the greens at Ridgewood Country Club is was it just a coincidence that after finally divorcing Elin, Tiger’s game finally returned? He told reporters it was not the case and rather just extra effort. But if he ultimately wins the Barclay Championship, many will believe it was because he ended it with Elin.
